Somehow I knew he was fighting Superman and getting the upper hand. So here I am to save the day…Can feel the minds of everyone…It’s like it used up my battery. At least he’s here.
— Lois Lane, Superman v3 #24
I want you safe. My Doctor. Protected from the false god…I can see everything. All that is. All that was. All that could ever be. My head…it’s killing me.
— Rose Tyler, Doctor Who (“The Parting of the Ways”)
very kind, and the very, very last

My buddy Brandon Schaefer sent me this message today: “Happy birthday. I can’t draw, but saw a guy in a cape coming out of a blue police box, so I took a pic.”
Obviously, Brandon’s a good buddy to have.

I miss it too, anon! I’ll see what I can do to revive it a little.
Anonymous said: Cool blog! I can legit link Superman and Doctor Who together. Shall I? Teri Hatcher starred in The Adventures of Lois and Clark. She was also a guest star on Seinfeld a couple of times as was Patrick Warburton. Warburton had a recurring guest role on the shortlived but great Newsradio in which he had a on/off relationship with Maura Tierney's character. Tierney starred in ER alongside Alex Kingston. And Kingston, as you know, is River Song.
I can do you one better - Alex Kingston was in Ben Hur with Kristin Kreuk, who played Lana Lang on Smallville. I’ve never watched it but I’ll have to sometime just to see their faces together.
but as the scenery grows, I see in different lights
the shades and shadows undulate in my perception
my feelings swell and stretch, I see from greater heights
I realize what I am now too smart to mention to you
you’ll say you understand; you’ll never understand
I’ll say I’ll never wake up knowing how or why
I don’t know what to believe in, you don’t know who I am
you’ll say I need appeasing when I start to cry
but never is a promise and I’ll never need a lie
